Our before-school child care provision for pupils at Cavalry School and Cavalry Nursery
Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club opens at 7.45 a.m, and children can be dropped off at any time up to 8.15a.m. 
 
During the club session

Once they have signed in, the children are provided with breakfast consisting of:
  • Choice of cereals (cornflakes, Weetabix, rice crispies etc)
  • Toast with a choice of topping (jam, honey, lemon curd)
  • Fruit juice (orange or apple juice)
Once each child has completed breakfast, there is time to play in the library or community room, and if the weather is ok we often go outside on the playground for some fresh air before the school day starts.
 
At 8.45a.m, children in KS2 make their way to their own classrooms. Children in Nursery and KS1 are guided to their classrooms by the Breakfast Club staff.
 
Charges
 
7.45 to 8.45 a.m. - £2.00

Anyone wishing to use Employer's child care vouchers (e.g. Fidelity, Edenred) is welcome to do so and should call at the office to speak to Mrs Harker. 
If your child is registered for Pupil Premium funding, Breakfast Club is offered to you at no charge. You will still need to book their place in Breakfast Club in advance online using ParentPay.
If you cannot access ParentPay via your mobile phone, tablet or PC, a laptop computer is available in the school entrance area for the use of parents and the office staff are happy to help you to make your booking. 
 
Booking and paying for sessions

All sessions must be booked in advance on ParentPay and paid for at the same time. Bookings must be made before 2.30 p.m. on the previous day.
In exceptional circumstances, you may wish to use Breakfast Club without a prior booking. In these circumstances we will accept a cash payment when you drop your child off. This should be reserved for genuine emergencies. 
If you have booked a session and suddenly find that you no longer need it, please inform the school office before 2.30 p.m. on the previous day so that your child's name can be removed from the register. We are not able to offer a refund if you cancel a session without notice because staffing ratios are calculated on the basis of places booked. 

Dropping your child off:
At the start of the session, please drop your child off at the side door to the Community Room. This is next to the staff car park. 
For the safety of the children, we ask parents not to drive into the staff car park when dropping off children. Please park on Cavalry Drive or a nearby street.
